The McCarron neighborhood is a vibrant, welcoming community known for its friendly residents, beautiful parks, and active neighborhood association. Our mission is to foster a safe, inclusive, and connected environment for all who call McCarron home.
Hello Neighbors! My name is Jessica Boyd, and I'm honored to serve as your HOA President.
I hold a Master's degree in Health Care Administration, currently working on my second Master's degree in Cybersecurity. I bring leadership experience from my work as a former Director with UnitedHealthcare Medicaid, where my focus was on access, quality, and community impact. I'm a wife—married to one of the coolest English Language Arts teachers in all of Charlotte—and a proud mother of three sons. Our two oldest are inspiring and autistic, and our youngest is a mighty toddler named Hero. I'm also a devoted dog mom to our two furbabies, Oshun and Isis. In addition, I'm the author of three books and someone who deeply values compassion, connection, and community. I look forward to collaborating with neighbors to strengthen our neighborhood and help foster a welcoming, thriving place for us all to call home.
Hello Neighbors! My name is Hany Solh. I've been a homeowner in the community for four years and live here with my partner, our three-legged dog, and a baby expected this February.
I bring an operations and continuous improvement background to the Board, with experience leading cross-functional teams and turning good intentions into clear, workable plans. As Vice President, my focus is on improving communication, adding structure where it helps, and building a true neighborhood—one where people feel informed and support one another. Outside of Board work, I'm a self-described nerd who enjoys home automation projects, 3D printing, and watching movies.
Hello Neighbors! My name is Jess ( yes there are two of us!) My husband, youngest child, and I moved into the neighborhood about 1 1/2 years ago.
We love the community we have found, and the picturesque neighborhood full of kids that are out playing all the time with my youngest joyfully joining in. When I am not working or running after our youngest I am an activist and enjoy creating activism art. As one of your HOA board members I hope to always dutifully represent each of you and will work to help build more community with our neighborhood every day.
Hello Neighbors! My name is Sheldon L. McAlpin. I was born and reared in Gadsden, Alabama, and graduated from Gadsden High School, Class of 1973.
I attended Gadsden State Junior College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Alabama A&M University in Normal, Alabama (Huntsville), Class of 1977. I am married to the former Rosalyn Jackson and am the proud father of three children—daughters Brittany Cynte and Khiari Jaynay, and son Ian. I am self-employed as an Independent Insurance Agent. I was initiated into Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in 1975 through the Gamma Phi Chapter at Alabama A&M University and am a Life Member (#3273-79). My fraternity service includes leadership roles at the chapter, alumni, provincial, and national levels, including Vice Polemarch, Polemarch, Senior Province Vice Polemarch, and Middle Eastern Province Polemarch (2003–2011). I have also served as Grand Polemarch Assistant and National C. Rodger Wilson Chairman. I have been honored with multiple Man of the Year awards, the Elder Watson Diggs Award (#105, 2017), and continue to serve on the Laurel Wreath Committee. I am a member of University Park Baptist Church, the NAACP, and the McCrorey YMCA. I am committed to contributing my experience, judgment, and dedication to help guide our HOA and support a strong, well-managed community.
Hello Neighbors! My name is Michael Wissbaum, and I have been proud to call McCarron home since April 1991.
I have been happily married since 1981 and am the proud parent of one grown son. We have a wonderful daughter-in-law, and two amazing grandsons who bring immense joy to our family. I look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors through the HOA and to supporting the long-term success of McCarron as a welcoming, connected, and thriving community.
